Calcium Nitrate

I mixed 4 tablespoons of calcium nitrate into 1.5 gallons of water and used it on about ten tomato and tomatillo plants, plus several pumpkins. I also used the spray to knock aphids off the big eggplant in the strawberry patch. That plant might be the biggest one I’ve grown.

The pumpkin north of it has the largest leaves and is finally climbing up the arch from the back side. The spaghetti squash on the arch has reached the top and is ready to start growing down. The bottom few feet are bare because I removed yellow, diseased leaves from the single stem. It looks odd, but I’m hoping it keeps growing and fills in as it comes down the arch.
